Where Faire Keeps Your Wholesale Purchase History

Faire spreads the paperwork for a single purchase across a few places, which is why retailers often end up rebuilding the picture by hand.

• Orders. Sign in at faire.com and open the Orders page. Each order is tied to one brand, so a single restocking session across five brands becomes five separate orders with their own status and ship dates.
• Invoices. Invoices sit on their own page. You can download them one at a time or in bulk, which is great for filing but still leaves you with a folder of documents rather than rows you can add up.
• Payment terms. When you pay on Net 60, the date you placed the order and the date the money actually leaves your account are two months apart. Your bank statement and your order list will not line up unless you track both.

Order date is not payment date. The export records when you placed each order. If you use Net 60, add a due date column (order date plus 60 days) so your spreadsheet matches the timing of your bank account and your cash flow planning is based on when money really moves.

Shipping belongs in the cost of each item. A $20 wholesale item that came in an order with $15 of shipping did not cost you $20. Spreading shipping across the items in each order gives you a landed cost per unit, which is the number your retail price should be built from.

Cancelled and adjusted orders need a second look. Brands sometimes ship partial orders or cancel items that went out of stock. Check the export against what actually arrived on your shelves before you use it for inventory counts or year-end cost of goods.
